Andrew Wise, 22, is another local soccer player who went on to play college ball.  Currently, he is a senior at Oberlin College in Ohio.  After injuring his Achilles tendon at the USYSA Regional tournament, Wise’s career started slowly as he rehabbed the  injury during the fall of his freshman year.  He has been a starter since the last half of his freshman year and has 3 letters.  He has played outside left fullback and left midfield for Oberlin, a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference, which includes D-ІІІ teams from Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania, including perennial D-ІІІ powerhouse Ohio Wesleyan.  The Oberlin Yeoman finished the year at 9-7-1 and ranked third in their conference.  In addition to his defensive duties, Andrew notched three goals for the Yeoman this season, including the game winner against Earlham College. Wise capped his career with a game winning goal in his last game against
Wooster University and was selected All-Conference second team for the 2012 season.

Andrew began his soccer career at Lion’s Field playing U-6 soccer in 1995.  He played premier soccer for Lafreniere/Lakeview/Chicago Fire Juniors and was on four state championship USYSA teams and two finalist teams.  He also played soccer for four years at St. Martin’s Episcopal School from 2005-2009 and was All-District, All-Metro and All-State his senior year.  Andrew’s parents are Jon and Gail Wise of Metairie, Louisiana
